Introducing FFW
Guess what? It is April and we are counting down the days until registration opens for this year’s event! We are so excited for this new year and hope that you are too! So, without further ado, we’d like to introduce our new annual Fighting the Fight Within (FFW) 5K to you!
Our purpose in bringing this event to the community is to not only honor and remember those that have lost their battle within, but to take up a torch in their memory to continue raising awareness about veteran suicide and the struggles our service men and women face.
FFW is made up of a cross-country timed 5K trail run and a 2-mile tribute walk. The event will be held at the Veterans Serving Veterans (VSV) Community Park located in Cadillac, Michigan. Gather up your family, friends, or co-workers and join us! Feel free to dress in patriotic colors, or wear a shirt to represent a military branch or in memory of someone you’ve lost.
Pricing:
5K timed run: $35 per person from April 21-July 9; $40 (no shirt guaranteed) from July 10- August 6.
2-mile walk: $22 per person; kids 5 and under free with no swag.
Remember to look for the opportunity to become a fundraiser during registration, if you raise $100 you will automatically receive $20 of your registration back.

To get registered, and find more details, you can go to our webpage at www.222none.org/ffw. There will be a button at the top of the page to click that will take you over the the registration site in RunSignUp. You can also scan the QR Code.

Overall top male and female (not eligible then to place in respective age group)
Top 3 males and females in each age group: 9 and under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Become a Fundraiser
Receive $20 of your registration back when you reach the goal of $100!
Launch a fundraiser from the registration site and help us spread awareness about veteran suicide and our cause by sharing with your friends, family, and co-workers why you are participating in the 5K run or 2-mile tribute walk at FFW. The support you raise will all go back out to help and support our local veterans and carry our message of awareness forward to those that may not have known otherwise.
You will be given the option to fundraise during registration. Feel free to edit the page to fit your audience, and don’t forget to grab the provided link to share it out!
Want to connect your fundraiser to Facebook? Once you setup your fundraiser you can connect it to a Facebook Fundraiser! Everything you raise through Facebook will count towards your goal, but you will need to follow these instructions on how to create your Facebook Fundraiser:
Sign in to RunSignup.
Go to your profile.
Scroll down to your fundraising section of your profile.
Click on your fundraiser to go to your fundraising page.
On your fundraiser page, click Create Your Fundraiser on Facebook!
If you are logged in to Facebook on your device, your fundraiser will automatically be created.
