Hey Vets! Join the Outdoor Venture Program on this awesome opportunity to chase king salmon under the midnight stars!

Outdoor Venture Program (OVP) will transport, equip, and gear-up 3 vets to chase king salmon under the midnight stars on one of Northern Michigan’s premier salmon rivers!

Not an activity for the faint of heart. We recognize and would usually make every effort to create events that all physically limited vets would enjoy. However, if uneven trail trekking, river wading, limited sight in the night and a chilled environment suits you, come with me and a couple of our OVP specialists on this incredible venture through the night. Yes, 10:00 pm until 5:00 am. Some can, some can’t, but any time we can optimize our catch, we try!

From MWR Monday at the Barracks, I will take 3 abled vets or you can follow us out so you have the option to bale out earlier than 5:00 am. If ya haven’t done this type of fishing at night, you’ll experience a rampage of a fight, a chase down the river and a teamwork of netting that will challenge you. All with laughter, fun, and excitement. Meals, snacks, beverages included!
